Email Marketing Manager, Rockville, Maryland

This position is responsible for developing, executing and optimizing strategic email marketing campaigns to promote events, certification, membership, education and other professional development programs for members and the regulatory profession at-large. The position will work closely with the marcom team and internal stakeholders to define target audiences; devise, launch and monitor email and automation campaigns that increase engagement and drives sales; generate leads; manage email databases; and report actionable campaign results.
Responsibilities include:

  • Set-up, manage and deploy all email campaigns in support of RAPS’ events, certification, membership, education and other professional development programs, with a focus on the QA process to ensure effective rendering, functionality, personalization, and targeting
  • Enhance marketing automation capabilities to drive leads, engagement and increased sales across all product lines 
  • Establish processes to comply with profile preferences, CAN-SPAM, CASL, and GDPR/ePrivacy
  • Collaborate with cross company stakeholders on shared deliverables and timelines
  • Monitor industry best practices to enhance templates, improve testing/tracking, ensure responsive design and increase performance
  • Ensure integrations with AMS and other systems are working to ensure the transfer of appropriate data and metrics
  • Proofread emails for clarity, grammar, spelling and active links
  • Track and analyze campaign performance, provided suggested optimization protocols and report on sales revenue generated

Qualifications include:

  • 5+ years email and web marketing experience
  • Advanced knowledge of HTML, UX/UI and content management principles
  • Expertise in marketing automation technology
  • Strong background with analytical and database tools and report creation
  • Experience that shows strategic, creative, and analytical thinking
  • Excellent internal/external communication, project management and copywriting/editing skills
  • Strong, proactive, solutions-based approach to problem-solving
  • Collaborative, multi-tasker with an attention to detail who thrives working in a fast-pasted, dynamic environment
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Real Magnet, Impexium AMS and Kentico CMS preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in marketing/communications) or a combination of education and experience which demonstrates the necessary skills and experience required for the position
  • Other formal training and/or demonstrated learning (certification or certificate) in digital marketing
